Russh Magazine Launches Summer Film Festival

Our friends at Russh Magazine are launching their first ever digital short Film Festival to celebrate Summer in Australia and are inviting Australia’s finest emerging talent to submit entries for inclusion.

The concept was inspired as an extension of Russh TV, the magazine’s film-based offshoot that comprises original fashion films and behind-the-scenes footage from the editorial shoots in the magazine.

Russh’s deputy editor Clare Alstin told Pedestrian: “We have so many young filmmakers approach us to produce content for RUSSHTV and so we wanted to create a platform to support emerging talent.” She said “Summer in Australia is such a special time and we want these films to reflect personal experiences, moments we can identify with and qualities that are uniquely our own.”

Emerging filmmakers are invited to produce a short film no longer than 1.5 minutes (90 seconds) that encapsulates the essence of Summer in Australia and the distinct Russh aesthetic.
