Royal Prank DJ Mel Greig To Return To Radio, Gets Stalked By News Ltd on Pub Crawl

Various News Limited and Fairfax outlets are today reporting that Royal Prank DJ with The Saddest Eyes, Mel Greig, will soon return to work on or around the wireless as either a presenter or a producer for parent company Austereo.

The information pertaining to Greig’s return from an extended hiatus was gleaned by Telegraph reporters who “spotted the embattled radio host as she sipped champagne with a girlfriend at an inner-west pub yesterday,” where said reporters then took a sneaky camera phone photo of Greig looking decidedly unimpressed at the lack of subtlety employed – they probably used the old ‘Excuse me, I’m just on the phone, let me angle my head thisss waaay *snap* whaat?’ trick; a classic gonzo photojournalist move.

Upon leaving the venue where she was questioned as to when she would return to work, Greig replied, “Someone from the station will be in contact with News Limited when I return.

I’m not supposed to say anything. I’m so sorry.“

Greig then left The Three Weeds in Rozelle, where “she appeared in good spirits, dressed in a yellow jacket,” to patronise another pub – a pub that we now know the name of almost certainly because they followed her two kilometres down the road to Balmain.

News.com.au are reporting that it’s the first time Greig has been seen in public since speaking with various current affairs television programs since the death of British nurse Jacintha Saldanha. This eager shadowing would appear to have something to do with it.

Fellow DJ Michael Greig returned to the Austereo airwaves last month following news that the British Crown Prosecution Service would not be pressing charges of manslaughter.
