Rose McGowan Reckons Arrest Warrant Taken Against Her Is A MFin’ Conspiracy

Rose McGowan lashed out on Twitter yesterday US time about an arrest warrant that was taken out against her in Virginia earlier this year for drug possession. She reckons the charges are an attempt to “silence” her, describing the warrant as a “load of HORSESHIT“.

The warrant for felony possession of narcotics was issued on February 1, after police found traces of narcotics in some stuff McGowan left behind on a United Airlines flight from LA to Washington back in January.

They say they’ve tried to contact her so she can appear in court in Virginia.

But McGowan alluded to a kind of conspiracy against her in the wake of her damning allegations earlier this month against disgraced Hollywood producer and sex pest Harvey Weinstein.

In a series of tweets to Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos, McGowan wrote that Weinstein had raped her, and called on the company to “stop funding rapists, alleged pedos and sexual harassers“.

In mid-October, when McGowan was temporarily suspended from Twitter for violating the Twitter Rules (she published someone’s private phone number on the platform), she posted the notice on Insty with this caption: “TWITTER HAS SUSPENDED ME. THERE ARE POWERFUL FORCES AT WORK. BE MY VOICE. #ROSEARMY.”

McGowan has since continued to be a vocal supporter of survivors of sexual violence, while campaigning for the need for structural change in Hollywood.

Speaking to the Women’s Convention in Detroit last week, she said:

I have been silenced for 20 years. I have been slut-shamed. I have been harassed. I have been maligned and you know what? I’m just like you. What happened to me behind the scenes happens to all of us in society and it cannot stand and it will not stand.

It is not known for how long McGowan has been aware of the charges laid against her, or if she intends to face court, or if this is all in fact a giant joint police-Hollywood conspiracy against the actress.
