Disgraced Australian entertainer and artist, Rolf Harris, has reportedly penned a song with lyrics that mock his victims of sexual abuse, according to a letter obtained by UK newspaper The Mail On Sunday.
The song’s lyrics, which were reportedly sent to a friend of Harris’ from his UK jail cell, describe the 85-year-old’s victims as “wenches” who were “joining the feeding frenzy” against him by coming forward with a money-grabbing agenda, and getting their “hooks into his dough.”
Excuse us, for a second.
The song, parts of which Harris reportedly claimed should be set to country music, included lyrics such as this, according to The Mail On Sunday’s front page.
“Climb up out of the woodwork babeFrom forty years ago,The climate’s great in Britain now,For making lots of doughYou’ve festered down there long enoughTime’s right to grab your chanceClap eyes on a rich celebrityAnd make the bastard dance”
Sincere apologies for the vomit you have now thrown up inside your mouth.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, Rolf Harris also described his time in jail as, “no hardship, really.” Last year, Harris was convicted and jailed for twelve counts of indecent assault that spanned eighteen years. Harris’ sentencing involved four women, who were aged between 8 and 19 at the time of their assaults.
In February this year, Harris was stripped of his Order of Australia.
Harris’ arrest formed a key part of Operation Yewtree, an extensive investigation into sexual abuse by Scotland Yard. After being passed down a 5 year, 9 month jail sentence in 2014, Justice Sweeney criticised Harris’ lack of remorse.
“You have shown no remorse for your crimes at all. Your reputation now lies in ruins, you have been stripped of your honours but you have no one to blame but yourself.”
