Riff Raff’s Australian Shows Called Off After Sexual Assault Allegations

Venues across Australia have cancelled their upcoming Riff Raff tour dates following allegations of sexual assault made against the Houston rapper.

Riff Raff, who was scheduled to begin his national tour tonight at Cairns’ Republic RNB, was today accused of sexual assault against two women during his 2013 Australian tour.

Booking agency Audiopaxx has issued a statement confirming the tour’s cancellation.

In response to the allegations, Brisbane’s The TBC Club stated “our business does not support or condone this kind of behaviour and we can not operate with the risk of our patrons being potentially involved in anything further.”

Melbourne’s The Corner Hotel posted an update saying “we are working tirelessly to ensure the venue is a safe and inclusive space for everybody and we don’t condone sexual harassment and assault of any kind.”

Other venues in Newcastle and Adelaide have made similar statements. Ticketholders have been advised they will be contacted soon regarding refunds.
