Rest Easy, Hillary Fans: She’s Out & About Walkin’ Her Pooch As Normal

While out for a post-Election Day stroll with her cutie baby in Chappaqua, New York, Clinton supporter Margot Gerster ran into an unlikely fellow bushwalker: Hillary herself, out getting some fresh air with her doggo and husband Bill. 
Though sans-pantsuit, the surely still-reeling Democratic candidate was only too happy to stop for a photo with Gerster, who took to Facebook to share it in an emotional post that’s going viral as shiiiiiiiiiiiiit because Hillary fans are so damn glad to see she’s ok.
“I got to hug her and talk to her and tell her that one of my most proudest moments as a mother was taking Phoebe with me to vote for her,” she wrote. “She hugged me and thanked me and we exchanged some sweet pleasantries and then I let them continue their walk. Now, I’m not one for signs but I think i’ll definitely take this one. So proud.”
Our theory as to why Gerster’s photo of Hillary – taken by Bill himself – has struck such a chord is that there’s something strangely comforting about it.
Like, if Hills is functioning as normal – walking her doggo in the same town she and her family have lived for almost 17 years – the world can’t be falling to total shit. Right? RIGHT?
That’s certainly the vibe on Twitter:

Hillary’s admitted her shock loss to president-elect Donald Trump (will we ever stop gagging?) would be painful for “a long time” but she’s encouraged her supporters to keep fighting the good fight.

“Never doubt you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and achieve your own dreams.”
