‘Real Australians Say Welcome’ Artist Begins New Marriage Equality Campaign

Adelaide street artist Peter Drew is best known for his simple yet effective poster campaign about discrimination against refugees, ‘Real Australians Say Welcome’

He crowdfunded his trip around Australia to place the posters in metropolitan and rural areas, even placing a poster on the front of the Department of Immigration & Border Protection’s government building in Canberra
Now, Drew has teamed up with Tooth & Nail gallery’s Jake Holmes, and together, they have turned their sights on another issue that is close to the heart of many young Australians: marriage equality.
By taking a simple, Aussie saying, and placing in rainbow letters, Drew and Jake Holmes manage to make the statement that an explanation doesn’t even have to be given; c’mon Australia, we should already be embracing marriage equality, so let’s get it done ASAP.
Donate to Holmes’ & Drew’s printing Pozible campaign here. Funds go to printing and postage costs of the posters and t-shirts, and all excess funds will be donated to AustralianMarriageEquality.org.
