R Kelly Released From Jail As Unknown Person Pays $161,000 Child Support

R Kelly

Singer R Kelly has been released from prison in Chicago, after an unknown person came forward to make an outstanding $161,000 child support payment on his behalf.

The payment from the mystery benefactor comes three days after a judge ordered him to go back to jail until the child support issue was settled.

Lawyers for the singer said that he was unable to pay the bill himself, and a representative for the Cook County Sheriff’s Departent told reporters that they’re unsure who did.

This is the second time in a month that an outside individual has paid a bill for R Kelly – he spent several days in jail in Febuary, and was released when a local business owner posted his $100,000 bail.

The singer’s recent legal troubles have highlighted the fact that his finances are now “a mess”, and he even claimed in a recent CBS interview that someone had been stealing from his bank accounts.

R Kelly currently faces charges on ten counts of aggravated sexual abuse on four women, three of whom were minors at the time of the alleged incidents.

He has pleaded not guilty and denies any wrongdoing.

Earlier this week, viewers praised Gayle King, who conducted the above mentioned CBS interview with Kelly, and who maintained her composure as the singer shouted at and towered over her.
