Queensland Police Releases Calendar Of Their Sweet AF Dog Squad For Charity

There’s been an influx of bullshit news to deal with this morning, truth be told: an anti marriage equality ad taking their rejection from channel 7 and 9 as a “compliment”, followed by Donald Trumping himself, and answering a question on misogyny with misogyny.

But the legends behind the Queensland Police Media Unit—who you may remember from such social media highlights as trolling the NSW bluesstaying on top of their pun game on twitter, and issuing a BOLO for Nickleback— have truly counteracted it all today, after announcing their 13-month DOG SQUAD calendar – now available online for a good cause.

Say what you will about the effectiveness of drug detection dogs; it’s never the dog that’s to blame. Canine legends helping police deserve, at the very least, calendars made in their honour.

Per QPS, the calendar is being described like so:

“Enjoy paw enforcement pictures all year long with the 2016 13-month Queensland Police Dog Squad calendar. The calendar features beautiful photos of 39 sworn dogs, retired dogs, breeding dogs and puppies from around the State.

It also includes a double-sided centrefold poster. All funds from the calendars will go to the Animal Welfare League of Queensland, Police Legacy and the National Breast Cancer Foundation. A portion will also be donated to Helping Hand to support Senior Constable Ian Callaghan who suffers from a severe form of Multiple Sclerosis and is undergoing an expensive stem cell transplant in Singapore.”

The calendar features 39 working dogs currently part of the Queensland Police team.
