Queen Elizabeth II Strips Rolf Harris Of Another Most Excellent Title

Erstwhile entertainer, Rolf Harris, has had another one of his titles stripped of him by old mate Queen Elizabeth II, whose portrait he once painted in 2005. His only remaining title is now also his most deserving: that of ‘abhorrent sex offender’.

Much like last month’s removal of his Order of Australia, news of the Queen’s decision came by means of The London Gazette, which contained a statement from Her Majesty rescinding all of his former titles:

“The Queen has directed that the appointment of Rolf Harris to be a Commander of the Civil Division of the Most Excellent Order of the British Empire [CBE], dated June 17, 2006, shall be cancelled and annulled and that his name shall be erased from the register of the said Order.”

Harris, 84, was jailed for nearly six years in July 2014 for perpetrating acts of abuse on girls as young as seven in the UK between the years of 1968 and 1986. Harris has since had his ARIA Hall of Fame honorific removed, his BAFTA fellowship revoked and his image literally scrubbed from the record in his hometown of Bassendean, Perth.
Good riddance.
