QLD Mum Cops A Fine After Testing Her Son’s Weed To Make Sure It Was “Safe”

A Queensland Mum has fallen afoul of the courts after she admitted to sucking down on her son’s weed in order to “test it” for “safety.”
The 41-year-old woman faced Gladstone Magistrate Court on charges of permitting use of place, after police found drug-related paraphernalia at her house while attending the property on a different matter back on December 3rd. Cops reportedly spotted a home made bong (read: Gatorade saxophone), tongs, scissors, and a plate with the green stuff on it while peering through a front screen door.
The woman admitted she let her 15-year-old son rip cones in the house, arguing that she would “rather him do it here than down by the creek somewhere.
She also admitted to “testing” the weed, which her son admitted ownership of, because she was worried it was laced with hallucinogens.
The Magistrate fined the woman $500, and recorded a conviction against her.
Really, there’s three lessons to be learned here:
  1. Never leave a bong in full view of the front door to your house.
  2. If you wanna pinch a cone off your son, just ask.
  3. Do not narc on your son.
Reasonably straightforward, yeah?
