Poor old Simon Sheikh got owned by the vicious Winter flu last night in an unnerving moment of live television. The director of GetUp! was one of the panelists discussing the divisive much protested carbon tax on last night’s episode of Q&A when he succumbed to exhaustion with a slow motion face-plant on the desk.
Tony Jones a consummate professional carries on with the conversation despite there being an unconscious man slumped over the table, while Liberal MP Sophie Mirabella hilariously eases the fuck away in an exemplary display of self-preservation. She’s been panned as a heartless cow for the move, but in all fairness this year’s flu is an absolute bastard and worth avoiding, even if it does cost you a few compassion points.
