Defence Minister Christopher Pyne says his Twitter account was hacked, several hours after he appeared to ‘like’ a gay porn clip overnight.
The post has since been ‘unliked’, but because nothing on the internet is ever really forgotten, other users screencapped the video from ‘XxxPornGay.’

In response to that unexpected piece of footage landing on his social media profile, the South Australian MP seemed to regain control of his profile, saying he was the victim of a hack.
Pyne also speculated any sneaky interference on his account could be the work of someone making “mischief” over the results of the marriage equality postal survey.
I was hacked overnight! I was 😴 at 2am. Someone tried to hack my social media yesterday. Maybe they are making mischief over the plebiscite?

The incident comes hours after it was revealed Australia voted with a 61.6% majority in favour of allowing same-sex attracted couples to tie the knot.
For what it’s worth, Pyne was one of the more vocal advocates of the ‘Yes’ campaign in the Coalition, and he also issued a more G-rated celebration in the result’s aftermath.

61.6% of respondents in Pyne’s electorate of Sturt voted ‘Yes’, exactly in line with the national average.
The incident comes after U.S. Republican politician Ted Cruz was also sprung with porn posted to his Twitter page.
