Put The Froths On Ice Because Xmas Day Is Gonna Be Sunny & Hot All Over Aus

Ho ho ho, folks! And a very merry Christmas to us all!
You’d wanna hope the big man in red is busy fixing the A/C in his fancy big sleigh at the moment, because if the Bureau of Meteorology is to be believed, he’s gonna bloody need when he pilots it across Australia this weekend.
The blessed BoM has published their first forecasts for the upcoming Yuletide days, and it’s looking entirely likely that we’re gonna cop an absolute ripper day of sunshine to go along with socks, jocks, and various other stocking stuffers.
The forecast is calling for borderline perfect summer conditions practically across the entire nation on both Christmas Eve Saturday and Christmas Day Sunday.
It all starts over in Western Australia, with Perth set for a sunny and reasonably hot weekend, clocking temperatures of 34 on Saturday and 35 on Sunday, with light winds and next-to-no chance of rain.
Further east in Adelaide, the South Australian capital is set to cop a similarly hot and sunny festive weekend, staring a sunny Christmas Eve of 35, and a mostly sunny Christmas Day of 37 in the eye.
Down in Tassie it’s gonna be marginally cooler, but still pretty warm (it’s a different kind of heat down there, I tell you). Hobart is set for a sunny, partly cloudy weekend of 25 on both Saturday and Sunday. And as anyone who’s been in Tassie for summer knows, 25 on the island is the equivalent of about 34 on the mainland. It’s true.
For Melbourne, the you beaut weather party continues, with sunny days of 29 and 30 forecast for the weekend, making it possibly the most perfect weather the city’s seen for Christmas Day in a number of years.
Inland in Canberra, the nation’s capital is one of the few places in the country that might actually see a little bit of rain on the big day. A medium chance of showers is forecast for a muggy Christmas Eve that’ll clock in at around 29 degrees. And Christmas Day is set for much the same, with the temperature ramping up to 32 with the chance of a thunderstorm.
Sydney, however, is having absolutely none of that shit, and is set to tag along on the good weather party bus. Saturday’s got a bit of cloud and a slight chance of an evening storm coming with a forecast of 27. But Sunday’s set for a bloody beautiful day of 28. Bellissimo.
And finally up in Brisbane, those celebrating a Queenslander Christmas have got a very slight chance of the occasional shower coming, with the days set to be otherwise bright and sunny. 27 and 28 are the forecast temperatures for the Maroon state.
If you happen to be up there in Darwin, you’ve got a typically tropical outlook coming, in keeping with your whole “different climate” thing. Storms, showers, and stickyness are set for a pair of days clocking in at 32.
But aside from that, it’s looking entirely likely that Santa’s Six White Boomers will be greeted by a blazing sun on his Australian run.
So bust out the esky, fill ‘er up with ice, and put the frosty ones on the chill. It’s gonna be a ripper festive weekend, folks!
Cheers!
