Princess Diana Death Images To Be Revealed At Cannes

It has been 14 years since her tragic and untimely death, yet the prying eye and curious mind of the media still won’t let Princess Diana rest in peace. Next week at the Cannes Film Festival a documentary called Unlawful Killing – an inquest into the inquest of the Princess’s death – is due to be screened on Friday 16 May. The film is already causing a stir due to the inclusion of certain paparazzi photographs taken at the wreckage, including never before seen shots of Diana after she had died.

Directed by British actor Keith Allen and backed by Mohamed al-Fayed whose son Dodi died with Diana, Unlawful Killing seeks to yet again challenge and investigate not only the cause of Princess Diana’s death, but suggests that the 2007/8 inquest into Diana’s death was a cover-up by what is referred to in the trailer (below) as the “establishment” and “dark forces”. While everyone likes a conspiracy theory there seems to be no end to the postmortem serialisation of Princess Diana’s death – most of which serve purely to make cash. In the case of the movie the filmmakers clearly have an agenda, but including images of her dead is unarguably in poor taste.

Isn’t it time to just let Diana rest in peace?
