Prince’s Family Personally Thank Artist Behind Sydney’s Dope Tribute Mural

The artist behind Sydney‘s dope Prince mural has received props from Prince’s family after painting another massive mural in Prince’s hometown of Chanhassen, Minnesota.

Kiwi artist Graham Hoete AKA Mr G flew to Minnesota to paint the mural after Aussie woman Kirsten Sampson managed to sort out a two-and-a-half storey high wall for him to paint on.
Mr G was thanked by Chanhassen’s mayor Denny Laufenburger at the unveiling of the mural, which also included Mr G performing a haka:
The mural clearly went down a bloody treat with the locals, with Mr G being approached by Prince’s own brother to not only thank him for coming all the way to do the piece but also to invite him to the official memorial service for Prince in August:
“They understand and acknowledge the price this had and I think they were touched that someone had come all this way to do that. I think they felt it would be fitting to reciprocate by inviting me to the memorial.

“I wasn’t doing it for that. It was a huge surprise and I am deeply humbled by it.”
