Sydney might be enjoying their one day with the utter artery-trembling joy that is the In-N-Out Burger pop-up that is slingin’ burger love across the city today. But down in Melbourne, Meat Christmas is a religious observance held on a year-round basis.
And at the top of that particular meaty mountain sits the mighty Huxtaburger – lording it up over us all on their throne of gilded patties; a benevolent, generous ruler who rewards the masses with a constant flow of delicious sandwiches.
In prior months, however, the average pleb had to pull themselves out of their hovels to physically go and pay homage to the King in order to get their hands on his treats. The physical locations were your only source of sweet, burgery relief.
But today? Today is a new day. A glorious day.
Huxtaburger has officially announced that they are now DELIVERING.
The chain of burger joints is pairing up with Deliveroo – and hooo boy if you haven’t checked it out yet are you ever about to have your Menulog-loving world ROCKED – a web-based food delivery/angel service that grabs deliciousness from some of yr favourite fancy eateries and brings that shit straight to your door sans judgment of your trackpants.
Huxtaburger head honcho/burger wizard Daniel Wilson celebrated the move thusly:
“We are seeing more of a demand for quality food that’s
equally convenient, giving people the option to kick back, relax and enjoy premium food from the
comfort of their home or office.”
Delivery will be available from the Collingwood and Prahran stores from Midday to 10pm seven days a week, whilst delivery from the CBD store will be open from 3pm until 10pm.
If you happen to live and/or work in Abbotsford, South Yarra, Prahran, Windsor, Toorak, the CBD, Southbank, Docklands, Carlton, Collingwood, Fitzroy, Parkville, or North Melbourne, your life just got levelled the fuck up.
