Ppl Are Gettin’ Safety Pin Tattoos To Support Threatened Groups Post-Trump

Now that we’re staring down Day Five of political protests against the President-Elect Donald Trump (which still feels so weird to write, tbh), people are picking up a trend that began with Brexit earlier this year.

Social media feeds are starting to become littered with people wearing safety pins to show that they’re an ally and supportive person for people who don’t feel safe after the US election.
Instagram is a buzzing with people wearing their safety pins, and a bunch of stores across the US are actually running out of stock.

Some are taking the leap and getting safety pins tattooed on them, to show their support and solidarity with those facing hatred following the election results.

But, because nothing is sacred and people always have to ruin stuff, some people online are uploading their own ‘safety pin’ posts, instead holding firing pins from hand guns and rifles.
