Police Identify Melbourne Man Found Dead In Designer Suit, Appeal For Info

The man found dead in a Melbourne park on Monday while wearing a distinctive designer suit has been identified, with police appealing to the public for more information regarding the circumstances of his death.

Victoria Police identified the man as 43-year-old Coburg resident Paul Costa. His death is being treated as suspicious, and Homicide Squad detectives are continuing their investigations.
It is not currently known why Costa, a father of four, would have visited Dunstan Reserve in Brunswick West

Detective Senior Sergeant Steve McIntyre said Costa had sustained wounds suggesting a knife attack, which is believed to have taken place in a carpark around 50m from where his body was found.

Police are also seeking information on the whereabouts of his 1999 Nissan Patrol, which remains missing.
Alex Costa, Paul’s father, last saw his son at the family home on Sunday night. Alex said he believed his son was wearing the sharp Ermenegildo Zegna suit for a date, and does not know why his son would have visited the reserve.
Anyone with information on Costa’s death or the whereabouts of his car has been urged to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
