Halloween is the greatest of holidays and it is an eternal shame on us all here in Australia that we do not celebrate it. As much as I hate to say it, the occasion is the one day of the year when Americans truly have us pipped.
I want the opportunity to participate in a low-key competition with my neighbours to create the spookiest house and yard decor! I want to plan a detailed and ridiculous costume for months leading up to the end of October, only to destroy it by drinking too much slim-coloured punch and puking lollies all over it!
And more than anything, I want to be able to dress my pets up and revel in their adorable misery.
So imagine how jealous I am of all the people who own these supremely pissed off, and outstandingly cute, cats. Without further ado, please meet the cranky kitty characters of Halloween 2k17:

A GOLDFISH!
Bought this costume for our cat. He’s pissed and/or embarrassed. Either way-how frigging cute is he! 🐱🐠 #Halloween #catfish #fishercat pic.twitter.com/9KtEpR7JEk

And Santa, who’s come too early to the party and has clearly been on the sherries.

Truly it is the most wonderful time of the year for pet owners. When will Australia finally stop denying its citizens the right to a spookily fun end-of-October costume fest? Those Kmart dog outfits are not enough. NOT ENOUGH I SAY.
