Earlier this year, one of the current Playboy playmates Dani Mathers got pulled into the middle of what the professionals call “an absolute shitstorm with a side of backlash” after she posted a photo of a naked woman in the locker room at her gym, shaming her for her physique.
The photo, which is a perfect example of body-shaming and outright bullying, had the caption “If I cant unsee this you can’t either”.

Mathers has since apologised publicly; she said she made a mistake and has spoken out against the body-shaming she previously took part in.

She said she’d meant to send the image to a friend privately, but didn’t know how Snapchat worked and so accidentally sent it publicly (not that that matters, it’s just as bad that she was shaming women in private).
Now, it’s being reported that the Los Angeles Police Dept has finally found the woman in the photo – she’s in her 70s, and is allegedly pretty keen for Mathers to learn that actions come with consequences.
It’s also been reported that police have been recommending that the woman take this further legally.
‘We’ve learned the woman — in her 70’s — wants Mathers to feel the full force of the law for taking a pic of her while she was changing clothes in the locker room of an LA Fitness.The woman is more than willing to testify and cooperate in any way she can to bring Mathers to justice.’
The likely charge will be ‘Dissemination of Private Images‘, which is a misdemeanour that carries the punishment of 6 months in jail.
Currently, the L.A. City Attorney is reviewing the case and will make a decision soon.
Mather‘s lawyer, Tom Mesereau said told The Wrap:
“I hope the rumours are not true. Dani Mathers never tried to hurt anyone at any time and certainly never tried to break the law.”
But for real though, body-shaming is literally never okay. Don’t do it privately to ya mates, and don’t do it publicly on Snapchat. Don’t do it at all, yo.
