Pixar Coming To Australia

It already boasts Girl Skateboards Art Director Andy Jenkins, Australian interiors and retail guru Kelvin Ho and the largest visual effects and computer animation studio in Europe, Framestore – but Melbourne’s stellar Semi-Permanent lineup just became unmissable with the addition of three very big names.

With two more to come in the following weeks, the annual arts and design conference today announced three new speakers – Wooden Toy Quarterly linchpin Timba Smits, multi-faceted design house Buck and Academy Award winning computer animation studio Pixar.

That last one in particular should be a treat as Pixar is responsible, in our opinion, for some of this decade’s most emotionally resonant cinema moments. We’re not ashamed to say it – we shed a few tears into our popcorn during UP and Toy Story 3.
