Calling all friends who possess titties, or, if you prefer, tiddies, because there’s a rumour going around that affects you and your two loved ones. According to the internet, the Pfizer COVID-19 vaccine can result in bigger bazoomas. However, this isn’t really just a myth, as there’s actually a scientific explanation behind it.

Yep, women on TikTok are now claiming that their “boobs grew almost two sizes” after getting the Pfizer jab, with reports spilling over to Twitter, as well.

Here are some of the videos posted to TikTok, if you don’t believe me.

Even folks on Twitter are claiming that they received a ‘free boob job’ with their Pfizer.

Bargain!

But what does science say about all these ridiculous claims of bigger bazooms across the nation?

Well, as it turns out, this whole thing might not just be a meme.

The science of it all

First off, the Australian Department of Health would like you to know that, although very uncommon, inflamed lymph nodes are actually a side effect of the Pfizer jab.

There was actually a whole study on ‘COVID-19 vaccination-related Lymphadenopathy’ done by the Radiological Society of North America, which basically says that, yes, you may notice that your breasts become bigger after the jab, but these are just lymph nodes becoming inflamed.

According to the study, it is important that women do not confuse this side effect with cancer.

Online science magazine Nautilus has given a pretty apt description as to why you may think your breasts are increasing in size thanks to Pfizer.

“The mRNA vaccines deliver a small amount of genetic code to instruct cells how to replicate the virus’ surface protein ‘spike’, which in turn activates the immune system,” she writes.

“Lymph nodes contain B-cells that use this information to generate antibodies in response to a foreign entity.

“The buildup of antibodies in the lymph nodes may result in them becoming enlarged. This can lead to breasts feeling larger for a short time following a COVID vaccine, but it is not cause for undue concern.”

But don’t get too excited friends, because this occurrence reportedly doesn’t last forever. So basically, enjoy (or disdain) this weird side effect for the short time that it stays with you.

If you need me, I’ll be finding out how to get seven jabs of Pfizer, for science.
