Peter Dutton’s QLD Office Vandalised Overnight As Leadership Challenge Looms

The electoral office of Liberal Party leadership challenger Peter Dutton was severely vandalised overnight, Queensland Police report.

In a statement, police say brick pavers were hurled through four reinforced windows and two glass doors at the Strathpine office in the early hours of the morning.

The attack also left holes in the walls of the MP’s regional HQ.

It is not believed anyone entered the Gympie Road premises during the incident, and nobody is thought to have been present inside the office at the time of the attack.

That makes sense, considering a very different kind of smash-and-run is happening down in Canberra.

The incident comes as Dutton, along with Treasurer Scott Morrison, and Foreign Minister Julie Bishop prepare for today’s likely spill motion within the Liberal Party room to decide who will topple Malcolm Turnbull as Prime Minister of Australia.

Police are seeking anyone with information on the vandalism to come forward. The vandalism in Queensland, that is.
