A Fake Press Release Was Sent Out From Pete Davidson’s ‘Wife’ & His Lawyers Are Investigating

pete davidson bodega cats press release fake wife

A press release was blasted out this morning from a new production company called ‘Bodega Cats Presents LLC’, which claimed to not only have comedian Pete Davidson as it’s co-CEO but that the other CEO was his wife and childhood friend, known as ‘Michelle Davidson‘.

That press release is claimed to be entirely false.

The release, which was removed from multiple production industry and PR sites as quickly as it was published, claimed that Davidson had launched his own production company and was aiming to help give people in the comedy business a leg-up in the early years of their careers.

Sounds like something he’d actually do, right? Get hitched to some unknown person in private and then launch his own company with them? But his lawyers were quick to confirm that no, Pete is definitely not behind Bodega Cats Presents, and is very much not married to someone named Michelle.

In a statement to Entertainment Weekly, Pete’s legal team have said they’re investigating the false press release, and who is making the false claims.

“The press release being circulated this morning about Pete Davidson is completely false,” the statement reads.

“Not a word of it is true. Mr. Davidson has no idea who this person is. We are investigating and considering all legal and equitable remedies.”

Incredibly, the press release had a quote supposedly from Pete Davidson himself, saying he felt launching the production company was the “right thing to do to give back to my community”.

“I am really excited to be part of this company and help people get a start in this industry,” the quote said.

“I never thought I would do something like this, but I met some of my closest friends doing stand-up, so I felt this was the right thing to do to give back to my community.”

Michelle, the person claiming to be Pete Davidson’s longtime friend and now wife, was also quoted in the release, saying that they planned to “bring awareness to how the Irish have been prosecuted in media”, and the “cultural appropriation their community continues to face” around St. Patrick’s Day.

At the time of writing, the website and social media of Bodega Cats Presents LLC have been taken down.
