Someone Rigged A Perth Touch Screen To Show PornHub To Unhorny Pedestrians

Perth pedestrians were stunned stiff yesterday afternoon after a brand new touchscreen information kiosk was rigged to show the PornHub homepage.

Images of the screen, located on William Street Mall in the city’s recently-unveiled Yagan Square, were promptly shared across social media by passers-by.

Another screen was also jury-rigged to display third-party content, but did not host the PornHub homepage.

Speaking to the ABC, a spokesperson for Perth’s Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority (MRA) confirmed the screens were turned off immediately after the issue was discovered.

However, that was still too late to stop a whole host of pedestrians from copping an eyeful as they traversed the new $73.5 million plaza.

A preliminary MRA investigation found the screens had indeed been “compromised”, raising genuine concerns about the security of the network.

Fortunately for those particularly averse to observing mondo nudity in public, Yagan Square’s 45m digital tower  – intended for use during landmark sporting and cultural events – was not impacted by the PornHub issue.

The MRA has vowed to investigate the issue in an attempt to bring those horny tamperers to justice.
