Fair warning gang, this is one will not help your opinion of humanity as a whole.
While out jogging last night, Perth teenager Maddison White was injured in a barbed wire “booby trap” some evil fuckhead had set up along the street.
The sixteen year old was running along Upton Road in east Perth’s High Wycombe when she hit and tripped over the wire, which police say was hooked to a power pole, strung along the street and footpath, and rolled up on the adjacent verge.
While we can only imagine the psychological impact this whole thing had on Maddison, she at least only received minor physical injuries, mainly where the wire hit her shin.
Her mother Michelle White confirmed on ABC radio that Maddison was shaken by the incident, and that, considering the wire’s placement, it could have been much worse:
“It hit her mid-shin, caused little bit of a scratch and she tripped over. She was shocked that it was barbed wire and that it was deliberate.”“[The wire was] situated near the skate park and it gets a lot of traffic with skateboards and scooters and bike with lots of kid action around that area.”
