Ariana Grande did a stupid thing recently: she was filmed licking a doughnut (NO MORE RIMJOB JOKES PLEASE GUYS) that did not belong to her (NO REALLY WE’RE SERIOUS). Also, she said she hated America, which is something America tends not to appreciate too much.
Anyway, everyone got very angry at her, and Americans with Internet access pulled a unanimous Dawn Fraser, telling poor Ari, ‘IF YOU DON’T LIKE IT, YOU CAN GO BACK TO WHERE YOUR FATHER CAME FROM‘ and other aggressive statements of that general sentiment.
Ariana apologised, and everyone thought ‘doughnut-gate’ was over. But her fans, distressed by the amount of hatred poor Ariana is still receiving, have decided to create an Instagram campaign in solidarity with her: ‘Donut Squad’.
The ‘squad’ are using hashtags such as #WeForgiveYouAri, and #LickDonutsForAri… because this is an actual situation that people are actually concerned about. Who knew licking iced pastries could be such SRS BSNS.
