Ozzie Wright Does Frankenstein

Nine Lives, Brisbane’s finest art establishment, has moved to new digs and they’re opening with a bang. The freshly painted walls will be christened tonight by a heap of new paintings by the multi-talented Ozzie Wright.

Between playing in his band The Goons of Doom and driving around in his kombi in search of waves, Wright has been working on a new collection of works entitled Frankenstein’s Dream. The show, as the title suggests, is all about Vampirates (vampire crossed with pirate duh!), babes with stitches and Mary Shelley’s Frankenstein himself.

The exhibition opens tonight from 6pm, at 649A Ann St in Fortitude Valley. Don’t worry though, if you can’t make the opening the paintings will be up for another two weeks, so you’ll have time to hire a kombi and drive up the coast Wright style.
