One Dead, Two Critical After Ingesting “Unknown Substance” At QLD Party

A man has died and two other people are reportedly in critical condition after ingesting an “unknown substance” at a New Year’s Day party in Mount Lindesay, on the QueenslandNew South Wales border.
Queensland Police say that they were called to a party at approximately 10.20am, and found more than 100 people in attendance. “Several people” had reportedly ingested a substance and were experiencing an adverse reaction. 
Ambulance officers say that they were called out to attend to five patients, but two of them fled into nearby bushland, and police are currently searching for them. 
Per ABC News reports, one man has died, one has been flown to Gold Coast University Hospital for medical treatment, and the other transported by helicopter to Toowoomba Base Hospital.
