Schapelle Corby is making boogie board jokes on Instagram.
It’s a weird sentence to write. Partly because that’s it, that’s the story, and partly because there’s practically no Australian alive who needs that sentence explained to them.
In a video posted to Instagram, Schapelle walks the camera to rest on her new boogie board.
“There’s a boogie board! And flippers!” she says. “This is not the boogie board that was taken at the airport, this is new one that I bought upon my release from Keobokan [Prison].”
Now that Schapelle’s back on Australian soil – she arrived home last month, after being arrested in 2005 – we suppose she finally feels free to make jokes about boogie boards and such. Is she…. ~finally free~?
Probs, hey.
Predictably, the comments on her Instagram (a cooked place at the best of times) have had a certain flavour to them.
And then, here’s a personal fave: “The dingoes got my boogie board.” Quite.
