NSW May Just Get Its First Ever 40-Degree September Day This Weekend

If you’re at work somewhere in Sydney today, I’d say there’s a fairly high chance you’ve witnessed someone say “bit nippy out today isn’t it?” at least once. Probably from Derek in HR, who’s ability to produce the world’s most abysmal small chat is renowned amongst your colleagues.

Fuckin’ Derek…

Anyway, forget about today’s overcast, chilly conditions cause NSW is about to enter some stupidly hot, stanky temperatures in the coming days, possibly even cracking the record for the first ever 40 degree September day in the history of ever.

Temps in Sydney and surrounds are gonna start creeping up towards the 30-mark beginning tomorrow, with hot-as-balls air from inland Australia sweeping its way towards us, but it’s the state’s north-west region which is looking to cop some absolutely insane early-Spring temperatures.

Wanaaring (why yes, yes I do), currently holds the record for hottest ever day in September, hitting 39.6 degrees in 2004 and meteorologists reckon it could very well tip over into the 40s come this weekend.

As for back in the Harbour City, we can expect both Saturday and Sunday to hover around the 30 degree mark, with Weatherzone noting it will be a particularly dry heat. Fun!

See ya at the beach chumps.
