Novak Djokovic Threatened A Fan At US Open & Obviously, Kyrgios Is Living For This Drama

A feisty Novak Djokovic has given tennis bad boy Nick Kyrgios a run for his money when he threatened a spectator during his warm up. And, of course, Kyrgios is LIVING for it.

Djokovic was fired up throughout his entire third round against Denis Kudla at the US Open on Saturday, but it climaxed when he swore at the crowd. Despite a 6-3, 6-4, 6-2 victory the tennis champ just wasn’t having a good day. For a sport that pays extremely well, the tennis boys sure have a hard time keeping their temper under control.

The current world No. 1 was ahead in the match early on when his shot was thrown off by a vocal crowd.

“Shut the fuck up,” the tennis pro screamed at the crowd.

But it looks like a shoulder injury could’ve been the cause of his frustration, with the Serbian tennis champion cancelling two practice matches on Friday. That’s when the real drama unfolded.

During a practice session, Djokovic exploded at a spectator and allegedly threatened him.

“I’ll come find you after the match. Trust me, I’ll come find you,” he allegedly threatened the heckler.

He later backtracked on his comments, adding that he wanted to “have a drink” with him because he “liked the guy.”

But the real zestiness comes from our tennis homeboy, Nick Kyrgios, who has had a lengthy feud with the World No. 1, and apparently everyone else in the tennis world.

“I’m scared”, he replied to the tweet, being the shit-stirring 24-year-old we all know and love.

The tweet comes after Nick added fuel to the fire in a podcast with New York Times tennis expert, Ben Rothenberg.

“I just feel like he has a sick obsession with wanting to be liked, he just wants to be like Roger.” Kyrgios said. “This whole celebration thing (the ‘boob-throwing’ celebration) that he does after matches, it’s like so cringe-worthy. It’s very cringe-worthy.”

At this point, I’m pretty sure Nick Kyrgios cares more about the drama than the tennis, but nothing brings me more joy than watching him turn world tennis into Keeping Up With Kyrgios.

Two full-grown adult men letting their petty tennis beef play out in front of the whole world? I am absolutely living for it.
