Taylor Swift has made no secret of her love for cats. Her two kitten children, Olivia Benson and Meredith Grey, feature regularly on the pop star’s Instagram and even have a cameo in the clip for her latest single.
And now she’s gone and adopted a third feline friend, an offensively adorable rag doll she’s called Benjamin Button.
This is Benjamin Button. He’s a good boy. https://t.co/Ou40WXL8hH pic.twitter.com/6aM19kYq5K

The newest member of the Swift pride has an extra-cute adoption story, too. It turns out that Taylor and BB met on the set of ‘ME!‘
In fact, he is the very kitten handed to Swift by Panic! at the Disco‘s Brendon Urie in the ‘ME!’ film clip.
according to my gd fren who knows a lot about cat breeds, @taylorswift13 ‘s new cat seems to be a rag doll cat instead of a scottish fold🤩#TaylorSwiftME #MEOutNow #TaylorSwiftIsBack @taylorswift13 pic.twitter.com/PQloC3qYh5

In an Instagram Live video on Friday, Swift confirmed that she fell in love with the kitten on sight.
“He was just a cute kitten who didn’t have a home,” she said, adding that the cat was brought to the set by a program that “tries to get cute kittens adopted by putting them in commercials and stuff.“
[The handler] handed me this tiny cat and he just starts purring and he looks at me like, ‘You’re my mum, and we’re going to live together.’ I fell in love. I looked at Brendon and he’s like, ‘You’re going to get the cat aren’t you?’
He literally looked at me like, ‘Adopt me please.’ And I was like, ‘Okay I’m going to do that.’ He’s just the best boy. He’s the best little guy.
Urie concurred with Swift’s recounting of the first meeting, saying, “It was truly love at first sight, love at first purr. You did not stop. It was just adorable.“
And I mean… who can blame her. He is a freakin’ cute cat.
