Noah Taylor, Ben Quilty, ‘True Detective’ Animator Headline Semi-Permanent 2015

A multi-disciplinarian artist come Game of Thrones villain, Australia’s painter laureate (IMHO) and the Brisbane-born Emmy-award winning legend behind True Detective’s opening title sequence are three of the headliners who’ve been announced in the first round of speakers for Semi-Permanent Sydney 2015.

Returning as part of VIVID Sydney’s always stellar array of events, Australia’s seminal art and design conference will make its triumphal return to Carriageworks over the weekend of May 22nd – 23rd with a lineup that includes Noah Taylor (Artist/Actor responsible for cutting off Jamie Lannister’s hand), Ben Quilty (2011 Archibald Prize Winner) Anna Wili Highfield (Artist/ Sculptor), Patrick Clair (Emmy Award Winning Director and Animator), Jason Woodside (LA-based artist), Craig Anderson (Professional Surfer), Hayden Cox (Photographer and Visual Artist), Murray Fredericks (Photographer/Visual Artist) and the first ever Stanley Donwood retrospective, an interactive exhibition showcasing the work of the English visual artist whose work is most synonymous with that of Radiohead.

Early bird tickets are already on sale and more speakers will be added to the lineup in the months to come. You can grab those and find out more information here
