‘Next Top Model’ Franchise Crowns First-Ever Transgender Winner


CAN WE GET A HELL YEAYAAHHHHHH, because Tyra Banks‘ Next Top Model franchise has crowned its first ever transgender winner.

She’s fierce AF Loiza Lamers, a 20-year-old hairdresser and makeup artist, who took out season 8 of Holland‘s Next Top Model.

Nervous at the possible reaction to her gender reassignment, Loiza held off sharing that she’d had surgery until she made it into the top 13.
“I’m really at a point where I can say I am very proud to be transgender,” she told the show’s host at the time.
She takes home almost AUD$80,000 in prize money and a contract with a major modelling agency both in Holland and the US, which is obviously going to go swimmingly because THAT FACE.
America‘s Next Top Model recently announced plans to cancel the show after 22 cycles, but Holland’s version is goin’ strong.
