News Corp Has Sharted Out A Characteristically Classy Take On SITG Outfits

The P.TV will be reporting from Splendour allllll weekend long. Follow us on Instagram [@pedestriantv] for all that sweet BTS content.

Like clockwork, the pearl-clutchers at News Corp have emerged from their multi-million dollar dens to gasp and sputter at the Young Folks with their colourful clothing, nubile bodies and sense of self-confidence. How very dare they.

This year we’ve got clutching in spades with News.com.au‘s icky combo of concern-trolling and blatant jelly-jowled ogling, titled “Splendour in the Grass” Festival-goers wear skimpy outfits despite chilly weather“.

The temperature’s barely reached 20 degrees at Splendour in the Grass but that hasn’t deterred festival-goers from stepping out in some very skimpy outfits“, it squawks, forgetting that in every other part of the world 20 degrees is considered balmy, and all of these people are exerting enough energy to heat several suburbs at once anyway.

“Glitter, strategically placed stickers and showing plenty of skin have proven popular this year with both male and female music fans.”

yeah… just this year.

They then encourage you to check out a gallery of the above-mentioned skimpy outfits, which includes a number of young men and women getting about topless, covered in glitter, and generally appearing like they’re having a great time.

Look: I (almost) get it. Seeing young people aglow with youth and potential is enough to make anyone’s blackened old heart seize up with panic. But sorry, old mates – one day, you are going to die. Having a body-shamey fit at some tit-stickers isn’t going to stave off your mortality. Let the young ‘uns get their norks out. Let people enjoy things.
