Veteran NASA astronaut Scott Kelly left on the Year Long Mission late last month, and ever since, has been tweeting sweet photos (tweeting from space ya’ll, it’s 2015 motherfuckers), and how pretty everything looks from space.
The aim of the Year Long Mission on the Russian Soyuz spacecraft is to collect data for future human exploration of our solar system, and to gain some sweet understanding how our resilient human bodies react and adapt to the harsh environment of space. But also tweeting sick space photos, obviously.
Anyway, yesterday he tweeted at us here in Australia, which was awesome and also very valid because we are pretty babin’ tbh. The photo also shows how crazy/cool the colour scheme of the central areas of our mainly uninhabitable country is. The image is said to show the Simpson desert with Diamantina River, near Birdsville, Queensland.
#Australia. You are very beautiful. Thanks for being there to brighten our day. #YearInSpace pic.twitter.com/0alQD01hY7
