In tragic news, an 18-year-old has died after he tripped and fell at the Knockout Circuz music festival in Sydney over the weekend.
NSW Police reports that he appears to have tripped over the feet of several people sitting near the entrance to one of the halls at Homebush,
He hit his head in the fall, and was assisted by security guards.
Police were called after the man, who they said was drifting in and out of consciousness, became physically violent.
The teen was restrained and taken to a medical facility for initial treatment, before being transported via ambulance to Westmead Hospital, where he later died.
Police have launched a critical incident team to investigate the incident, and are urging any witnesses or anyone with information to come forward.
The investigation will also be subject to an independent review, with all information being provided to the Coroner.
Harder Styles United (HSU), the event organiser for Knockout Circuz, have yet to comment on the incident, but PEDESTRIAN.TV has reached out and we’ll include if they do so.
