North Korea’s militant ‘Supreme Leader’ Kim Jong-Il has died at age 69 after suffering a heart attack. A presenter on North Korean state television announced the news and said mourners would be allowed to visit the body from December 20 to 27.
The dictator was often mocked because of his fondness for Elizabeth Taylor movies and cray-cray claims that he could control the weather and the appearance of the night sky. Jong-Il also became an unlikely pop culture figure after being the subject of the tumblr meme Kim Jong-Il Looking At Things and this not-entirely-PC song from Team American:
