Melbs Man Who Shot Mate In Face Mid-Selfie Pleads Guilty To Manslaughter

A Melbourne man has pleaded guilty to manslaughter today, after firing a shotgun pointed at the head of a friend who was posing for a selfie.

Albert Rapovski, 20, was on a mix of GHB and ice when he pointed the 12-gauge at the head of 22-year-old Mahamd Hassan in a hotel near Melbourne’s La Trobe University.
According to police, Hassan had requested that Rapovski remove the shells from the shotgun in case he accidentally injured someone.
Hassan was killed when Rapovski accidentally fired the gun while Hassan was holding up his phone to take a picture.
Rapovski fled the scene and attempted to travel to Macedonia the next day, informing a travel agent he needed to visit his sick grandma, but was stopped by customs officials.
Rapovski will remain in custody until his plea hearing.
