This Melbs Bar Is Slinging Up Australia’s 1st Totally Clear Espresso Martini

If you wanted to summon each and every basic in the land, there’s one simple thing you must do.

Just say two words.

Espresso martini.

The drink is undeniably delicious. It takes two of life’s sweetest nectars – coffee and alcohol – and combines them to create something that will get you drunk and make you drop your guts. You can’t ask for much more than that.

And now a Melbourne bar have taken the humble caffeinated beverage and given it a highly sophisticated twist.

Bosozoku in South Yarra have created what they believe is Australia‘s first ever translucent espresso martini and the results are breathtaking:

The completely clear drank consists of Grey Goose Vodka, Niseko Shuzo Coffee Shochu (brewed in Japan and stocked exclusively at Bosozoku) and De Kuyper Crème De Cacao are stirred over dry ice and topped with a white chocolate and vanilla bean foam.

On the off chance all of that wasn’t extra enough for your tastes, they’ve topped it off with a spritzing of edible gold dust. I’m shivering.

It’ll set you back $28, but the pleasure of taking a picture of it to post on Instagram to prove to your ex that you’re sophisticated and rich and hot? Priceless.

Bosozoku is open 7 days a week, from 5pm to 12am, at 34 Bray Street, South Yarra.
