Melbourne, This Is Silly Now: A Larry David-Themed Cafe Is Opening Soon

Melbourne, R U OK?

First the George Costanza-themed bar, and now: a Larry David-themed cafe. That’s right – soon you won’t be able to enjoy a single caffeinated beverage in Victoria without seeing at least one person who worked on Seinfeld
There’s not a whole heap of info about Larry David’s yet – just that they’ll be selling bagels, juice and coffee. (No word on white fish sandwiches, though.)
So… it sounds pretty much like a normal cafe. Except it has a giant mural of the sarcastic comedian; David will crabbily stare at you the whole time you drink your vanilla bullshit latte-cappa thing.

While this all does sound great, we do have to commiserate for the poor baristas, who will probably end up with a mild form of PTSD after hearing that every coffee they make is ‘preeetty… preetty… preetty good’ from some smug bastard who think he’s the first to make the joke. We salute you, baristas.
But w/e, we’re sure it’ll be a place to make friends:
It’s not open yet, but if you need to curb your enthusiasm, you can keep an eye on their Facebook page here: facebook.com/Larry-Davids-545703868922272
Larry David’s can be found at 461 St Georges Rd, Thornbury.
