Oh Melbourne, how we love thee: a mural of a certain reality television star has popped up in the Melburnian streets.
Kim Kardashian put up a nude selfie last week which prompted many retaliations, mean tweets, women coming to her defence, and shamefully conservative thought-pieces (and we aren’t going to link any of them -_-).
However, the ~KWEEN~ cared not for your body-shaming bull-fuckery, and penned an incredibly powerful essay talking about her relationship with her body, and the fact that she can do whatever she damn well pleases with it.
Now, Melbs has their own rendition of the iconic nude selfie that sparked a thousand ~hot takes~ that the world neither wanted nor needed:
It’s 30 feet tall, and is located in the suburb of Cremorne.
We asked the artist behind the mural, Mark Walls (AKA @lushsux), about why he decided to paint the divisive celebrity:
“Instantly had the need to paint it when I saw it on her Instagram, in public, on a three story high building. Maybe I’m an as much of an attention seeker as she is?”
And if Kim by chance stumbled across the mural one day, what would he like to say to her?
“Post it to your Instagram account, pretty please with sugar on top.”
Absolutely A+ work.
