The Victorian Government will gather for a cabinet meeting at 11:45am to consider a potential lockdown as the state attempts to manage the recent COVID outbreak.

Fears of a third lockdown were sparked on Friday morning after the state recorded five cases on Thursday in relation to the Holiday Inn quarantine hotel.

According to the ABC, a “five day quick closure is an option being canvassed,” however, nothing has been confirmed by the Victorian Government as yet.

Obviously, the idea of a lockdown is a triggering thought for any Victorian, so it’s important to note that nothing has been announced yet.

The news comes as Terminal 4 at Melbourne’s Tullamarine Airport was listed as an exposure site overnight.

Anyone who visited the Brunetti cafe between 4:45am and 1:15pm must immediately get tested and self-isolate for full 14 days, regardless of their test result.

The situation is ongoing and we will be sure to update you as more information becomes available later today.
