Melbourne, Gird Your Tastebuds For Australia’s First-Ever ‘Ramen Rave’

It’s impossible to be ‘on the fence’ about ramen; either you’re not a fan, or you live by the ramen and you will probably die by the ramen.

There’s no in between – and if you do not consider yourself the latter, you’d best be closing this tab quicksmart and leaving this to the real MVP’s of noodle broth, fam.
We’re here to let you delightful broth-lovin’ folk know that a Ramen Rave is a thing that’s about to happen in Australia. Yeah, seriously – a legit ramen rave.
It’s being held by Melburnian deliciousness-creators Supernormal, at the end of October and combines two excellent things: RAVING AND EATING RAMEN.
Here’s the gist: Andrew O’Connell‘s Flinders Lane restaurant will play host to NYC chef/King of Ramen, Ivan Orkin, who’ll be serving up his acclaimed shio ramen (‘a rich broth with pork belly chashu, toasted rye noodles and soy marinated egg’), while a DJ spins tracks in the background.
Local DJs Andras Fox and Zach PM will responsible for the beatz, best enjoyed as you slurp highballs, sake, and Asahi to quench your raving thirst.
For the love of all things good and salty, help us. (Warning: DO NOT look at Ivan Ramen’s Instagram account if you’re feeling hungry).

First meal of the day- Ivan Ramen Shio Ramen- as delicious as ever. #tokyoramen #shioramen #breakfastofchampions
