If you’ve been lamenting a lack of royal drama in your life over recent days, fear not: Samantha Grant, estranged sister of American actress and Prince Harry‘s fiancée Meghan Markle, is here to fix all that for you.
You may have heard that Markle is rumoured to be getting her mum, Doria Ragland, to walk her down the aisle at her May 19 wedding to the Ginger Prince, in a heartwarming flouting of tradition.
However Grant, who just so happens to be publishing a book about her childhood with Markle titled The Diary of Princess Pushy’s Sister, has taken the opportunity to mouth off on Twitter about the decision, reportedly saying:
Here ye, Here Year! Muck about Doria walking Meg down the aisle, is NOT true. Our father will walk her down the aisle…. don’t believe tabloids. Most tabloid writers are developmentally delayed
Grant, who has changed her Twitter name to Samantha Markle and also locked her account (lol why), has really taken her half-sister’s impending nuptials as an invitation to get loud about a bunch of things, including but not limited to Prince Harry.
She reportedly took offence to Harry’s comments about Markle’s spending Christmas with his family (when he suggested that getting to hang out with the royals was like “the family she’d never had“), and has repeatedly told the press how stuck-up, selfish and shallow Markle is, going so far as to call her a “shallow social climber”.
Grant claims that Markle stopped talking to her family after her success in Hollywood. Her Twitter profile pic is still a picture of her and Markle though, so…
Regardless, whether Markle & Grant’s dad, Thomas Markle, is actually going to give her away on her wedding day remains to be seen. Until then, all we can say is get your popcorn poppin’, ‘cos it’s ROYAL DRAMA SEASON!
