Samantha Grant, also known as Samantha Markle, is princess-to-be Meghan Markle‘s estranged sister. If you haven’t heard of her, you may well have been living under a rock or on the moon, because this lady has made it her mission to mouth off about her successful sibling at every opportunity.
Now, she’s given an exclusive interview to A Current Affair from her home in Ocala, Florida, where she lives with her partner Mark. And as much as she’s trying to downplay her inflammatory sniping (remember when she called Meghan “shallow and narcissistic“?), she is still definitely, one hundred per cent, certifiably salty about sissy getting to marry a prince.
Throughout the interview with Lauren Golman, Markle tells her that she’s totally not jealous or bitter, like, not at all, because she was super successful on her own terms. And then, when the conversation turns to Meghan’s charity work, she emits this sneery bit of shade:
I’ve seen in my lifetime a lot of situations wherein celebrities visit a place that is poverty stricken and they’re wearing impeccable clothing, they themselves are wealthy, and it really feels like just a photo opportunity. So that is a little exploitative in my mind.
Exploitative like piggy-backing off your estranged sibling’s impending nuptials by writing a book titled The Diary Of Princess Pushy’s Sister?
Markle is also pissed off that Meghan hasn’t been supplying their father with financial support – a once-successful TV lighting director, he’s now reportedly skint and living in Mexico. Markle reckons chucking him several tens of thousands of dollars is the least Meghan could do.
I don’t think he feels like she owes him, but that is how I see it.
Honestly what she could spend in a weekend would greatly help dad. If you can afford $75,000 for a dress, you can afford $75,000 to help your dad. That’s how I feel, that’s who I am.
She also says that the reason she and Meghan haven’t been in touch for the last three years is because she “never wanted to burden her“.
According to Markle, their dad is locked in to walk Meghan down the aisle – something that’s been much speculated about, as rumours have circulated that Meghan’s mother, Doria, would have the honour.
As for her, she hasn’t received an invite yet. And did she mention that she’s “always been very proud” of Meghan?
Keep it up, mate. If nothing else, all this royal drama remains wildly entertaining.
