Harry & Meghan Posted One Last Hurrah To Insta Before Officially Ditching The Royal Life

Harry Meghan

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, otherwise known as Harry and Meghan, have farewelled their followers on Instagram as they officially step back from the British royal family. As of Tuesday, March 31, Harry and Meghan no longer represent the Queen.

The couple encouraged their large following to focus on what’s most important right now, being the health and wellbeing of everyone across the globe. They didn’t share very much of their future plans, but said they will be trying to understand how they can best contribute to supporting people amid the coronavirus pandemic.

They also thanked the community for their support, inspiration, and shared commitment to the good in the world.

“As we all find the part we are to play in this global shift and changing of habits, we are focusing this new chapter to understand how we can best contribute.

“While you may not see us here, the work continues,” they said, and promised to reconnect soon.

“Until then, please take good care of yourselves, and of one another.”

As announced in January, Harry and Meghan will retain their His / Her Royal Highness titles, but will no longer actively use them. The couple will also stop using “Sussex Royal” or any iteration of the world “Royal” in any of their future projects, either within the UK or otherwise. So I’m just going to go ahead and assume this Instagram account is about to be binned. Or, it’ll be rebranded. Or, the couple will return to the social media platform with individual accounts. Who knows!
