When we first cast out the line for an easy-to-read writer with a smooth, refreshing flavour to guide Pedestrian readers through the coming (scorching) Australian summer we were literally inundated with binders full of exceptionally talented writers who selflessly heeded the call to action.
After Sol reviewed every single one of the final one hundred and twenty four applicants – a feat in itself that demanded a few hard-earned cervezas importadas – they were finally able to choose a winner. It’s for this reason that we couldn’t be more pleased to announce that the new Sol + Pedestrian Summer Editor is the delightful Nikki Brogan!
Nikki has hit the ground running straight out of Uni, but is no stranger to these pure shores of ours having done the hard yards working for free as an editorial intern at both Pedestrian and FBi. She now has an incredibly arduous task ahead of her to cover any and all Summer-related facets of pop culture through a series of unmissable guides, the first of which should hit just before the next heatwave rolls in – and that should be any day now.
